arts: present tense biennial: chinese character

As a past intern for the Chinese Culture Center and a member of the general planning committee for Kearny Street Workshop's APAture this upcoming September, even without my personal bias, this show is going to be kick-ass. Before Abby, the program coordinator at CCC, left for China in October to search for artists for the show, we discussed her vision and after 7 months & some time spent browsing the online gallery, I'm extremely excited that the energetic, vibrant and unique celebration of contemporary chinese culture truly is being represented:

PRESENT TENSE Biennial: Chinese Character

Presented by the Chinese Culture Center in collaboration with Kearny Street Workshop, this biennial exhibition showcases vibrant and diverse perspectives on contemporary Chinese culture. Featuring artists from the Bay Area and beyond, the show includes a wide array of media at the Center’s main gallery and in storefronts throughout Chinatown.
