Soccer isn't as popular in the US as in the rest of the world including Japan. But there's a reason why you should pay a bit more attention––hot guys!
I don't usually like Japanese soccer players because of their extreme hairstyles, and I don't even like soccer, but I want to share my current crush: Yuto Nagatomo.

He may not seem so "good-looking" to you, but he has hella cute smiles. Watch him!




What is amazing to me about him is that he's my age. I feel so grown-up now! I'd better accomplish something, too!


Footnote: I don't like watching soccer games like the World Cup because the supporters become overly nationalistic. As for the Japanese, they may even raise the old national flags used during the wartime, which reminds lots of folks in Asia-Pacific of the brutal treatment of their peoples by the Japanese military. As a Zainichi Korean, I just can't dismiss those flags as simple supporting spirit.
Some say that sports and politics are separate. Well, that's because you're ignorant. Politics isn't everything what sports are about, but sports have always been politicized.
