youtube: Exclusive coverage of the Gay Shame Castro Protest!

Wiqaable is proud to present its very first video coverage of a live event! In this three part series, we'll be looking at Gay Shame SF's protest at the LBGT Center in the Castro District. The event happened last Friday (June 26th, 2009). Wiqaabloggers Nate and Haruki were there to cover the details and provide their own commentary.

Protesters gathered on June 26th to decry The Center's trans-phobic and capitalist centric nature. The list of demands from Gay Shame are (but not limited to): assistance for the homeless, sex workers, trans-identifying folks, needle exchange, showers, proper bathrooms, and revision of The Center's infrastructure.
