Just wanted to post this up as a reminder (as I was just reminded) that oftentimes, the best resource that you can find are the people you know (or don't know yet). I've come across many a thread like this where a question (like the one posed below) turns into a space for empowerment, conversation and links-upon-links as a means for storytelling and community building -- especially if it's troll-less.

"Growing up I never thoguht that being gay was an option for Indians - gay Indians just didn't seem to exist in society and in the media. Which is the case for many, if not most, minorities regardless of sexual orientation. Anyway, I now realize that there ARE other Indian lesbians like myself, only now, I don't know where they are. Any in the Tampa, FL area??

Also... does anyone have any advise on how to come out to Indian parents, especially if you're dating a non-Indian? Can anyone share any experiences?
